How is you pricing structured?
Packages start at $3000 and are carefully designed with brides in mind. If one of my packages is not exactly what you are looking for we can certainly design a custom package just for you. Please contact my studio for detailed pricing information.
Do you have a second shooter?
Of course! I work closely with several very skilled photographers. All my photographers have worked with me for at least five years and most of them even run their own photography businesses. I may also will bring an assistant depending on the size of your wedding.
Do you shoot video?
This is a very important question so brides please read and consider this very carefully. I do not shoot video. While I do appreciate a well done video, I want all of my brides to know that in my experience videographers, more often than not tend to create an environment that is rather obtrusive and can significantly hinder the efforts of any photographer. Video requires a lot of gear. Microphones, video lighting, tripods etc. much of this gear ends up in photos and is difficult if not impossible to edit out. Also consider that in crucial moments like the kiss, the cutting of the cake, the bouquet toss and the first dances are often in tight spaces and having two creative professionals vying for the “right angel” and using different lighting techniques to get the best possible photo also compromises the shot for both photographer and videographer. Finally, and most important is the final product. Please remember that the photograph once printed is timeless, it will last forever. It is something that will be passed on from generation to generation in a frame that will hang the walls of your homes or in an album that can be viewed by family and friends for years to come. With the advent of new technology it seems every five years that video and what you are able to view it on changes. Think of all the brides that had their wedding videos shot on a VHS tape. Unless they had it converted from analog to digital it is not able to be viewed, its more or less gone forever. How many of you have a VHS player that works? Further, CD’s and DVD’s are becoming obsolete even as I type. Again, I do appreciate the craft and emotion that a well done video can produce and a skilled team of video and photography professionals can certainly work together to get great results. However, I would highly recommend choosing one or the other, whichever you feel is most important to you and invest the extra money you would spend on both to get the best possible professional to capture one of the most important days of your life.
Do you charge for travel?
I shoot weddings all over the country, even internationally. I don’t charge for travel to Cincinnatti, Lexington or Indianapolis. For destinations beyond that I do charge a nominal fee to cover travel and accommodation expenses.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use top of the line Canon camera bodies and a full range of prime lenses. I have three camera bodies and around twelve extra batteries. If one camera breaks no problem, if a few batteries go bad, I have plenty more. I have a full array of supplemental lighting as well. From high end studio strobes to on camera lighting, I’ll have you covered.
Do you Photoshop my images?
Yes!!! However, please understand that I do not make your images look like something they are not. I do color corrections and some cropping but I believe your wedding photographs should feel and look timeless. Therefore, I do not use trendy or tricky filters to make your photos look too colorful or contrasty or like you were married up in the clouds. My hope is that thirty years from now you will be happy that your wedding photos look the way your wedding actually looked. Not the way they were photoshopped.
How many images do I receive?
My second shooter and I may shoot up to 5000 images. I personally edit all of those images down to between 800 and 1000 images for you to enjoy. I do my best to ensure your images will be delivered to you on a USB hard drive four weeks after your wedding. During my busy wedding season it could possibly take six weeks.
How long does it take to get my album?
Once you receive your photos and choose the images you want for your album, I design it and send you a link for an approval. If you like my design and approve the album it will take around four weeks to receive it. Remember, My albums are handmade in Italy so its is definitely worth the slightly extra wait.
What if something happens and you can’t make my wedding?
First, let me say I have never missed or even been late to a wedding. However, in the very unlikely event that an emergency comes up remember, I have other skilled photographers that are able to cover your wedding. I am also fully insured in the event of any mishap you will be covered too.
If I book with you are “YOU” my photographer?
YES!!! If you book with me unless otherwise arranged in our contract, I will be your primary photographer.
How do I secure my wedding date with you?
I require a 50% deposit and contract to secure all dates. Unfortunately, I can not hold a date until this step is complete.
